& Me: A Story Of Recovery,
by Raman Prasad. Raman
published this moving book in 2003 about his battle with UC
and how he found the SCD. In 2008 Raman published a second
book, "Recipes
for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet: The Grain-Free, Lactose-Free,
Sugar-Free Solution to IBD, Celiac Disease, Autism, Cystic
Fibrosis, and Other Health Conditions". A third book
is called Adventures
in the Family Kitchen, which contains many of Raman's
own recipes, as well as a few contributions from his web site,
SCDRecipe.com.Raman also manages the web site SCDRecipe.com.
Healing
Foods: Cooking for Celiacs, Colitis, Crohn's and IBS,
by Sandra Ramacher. Published in 2007, this beautiful book
contains over 200 SCD recipes. It is well organized, features
a useful weekly and monthly cooking plan, and has many professional-style
photos by Sandra of her own delicious gourmet recipes. The
